At WCA, athletics are an integral part of student life. As Lions, we are not only part of the pride, but we take pride in everything we do! In all things, we strive to be more like Jesus Christ. Team sports are no different; we want to make our mark on this world for our Savior.
FCA
The vision of FCA is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. FCA seeks to make disciples through their strategy of engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same. Here at WCA, we seek to live out the FCA vision through school huddles, team huddles, games, competitions, ministering to our coaches, attending summer camps, and special events.
The 2024-2025 theme for FCA is 24/7 based on the scripture Romans 15:13. Join us this year as we dive into four key concepts (Reset, Renew, Refuel, Ready) to understand how you can go from being overwhelmed by the demands of life, to living the overflow that comes from time spent with Jesus. As a coach or athlete, it can feel like the hustle and grind never stops. How you spend your "24/7" matters. Jesus is ready to give you the rest and rejuvenation that you need. You just have to slow down enough to receive it and then Jesus will get you ready for your best 24/7.
