Student Life
Winchester Christian Academy believes in the importance of providing a well rounded educational experience. Part of which includes varied opportunities for leadership, service, and social growth. Our students have a growing list of extracurricular groups that meet regularly and participate in service projects and competitions at local and state levels.
Student Clubs
Student life is designed to provide our students with opportunities to connect and engage. We center our student life around strong relationships and a close-knit community. Students are able to develop and use their gifts and talents in many ways. WCA strives to encourage a love for our school community for every student. We pride ourselves in meeting each student at their unique point of need and challenging and encouraging them to reach the peak of their own potential.
FAITH + SPORT = FCA
FCA is where students can unit their two passions, faith and athletics, to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA has been on one mission for over 60 years. At WCA, FCA has been an active part of student life for the past five years hosting meetings and events such as See You at the Pole to help students grow not only athletically but also, and more importantly, spiritually. Mrs. Maureen Cox, our Athletic Director, sponsors FCA.
Band
Mr Landon Kelley has taken over our Band and Fine Arts Program as the Director of Fine Arts for the 2024-2025 school year. We are excited to watch our amazing band continue to grow under his leadership; band instruction is open to all students in grades 4th-11th.
Student Council
The purpose of WCA’s Upper School Student Council is to promote strong leadership and school spirit. We will meet once a month during school from August - May. These meetings will be held during the Upper School’s club period one or two Mondays a month. During these meetings we will help plan school social and philanthropic events. There will also be times when student volunteers are needed for events that are organized by the school/PTO. These events include, but aren’t limited to, chili cook off and spring carnival. Our goal is to create hardworking, responsible members of society through hard work and dedication to our school’s success. Members must be in grades six through eleven. Mr. Josh Neal, our Student Life Director, is our Student Council Sponsor.
